Last chance to pre-order to get your bonus!įarming Simulator 22 will release on November 22nd for PC, Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One and Stadia. Not all of them might benefit from a significant reduction of slot requirements, though - it depends on the machine. The Fendt Vario, for example, uses around 40% less slots in Farming Simulator 22. We reduced the required slots for various vehicles and tools. Instead of 40 slots in Farming Simulator 19, it uses only 12 in Farming Simulator 22. Let's take a look at the CLAAS Axion 900 TT, for example. The more efficient slot usage allows for even more available items on your farm. But that's not all! Slot usage up to 70% more efficient! Farming Simulator 22 on the same consoles got a boost of more than 100%, resulting in 2749 slots on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.įor current gen consoles, meaning PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series consoles, we boosted it up to 300% - meaning 5155 slots that are available on those platforms. Up to 300% more slots!Īs you can see above, Farming Simulator 19 on "old gen" consoles had 1299 slots available. Like before, if you buy the same machine or tool more than once, every additional one will only require one slot. We reduced the slot usage of various items, too - that raises the amount of items your consoles can handle, even more. Secondly, we didn't just raise the amount of available slots. Even on the older consoles from last generation.įirst of all, there are more slots available in Farming Simulator 22 (compared to Farming Simulator 19), even on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. With Farming Simulator 22 we tried to make everything more efficient when it comes to slots. Each respective console has a slot limit that defines, how many vehicles, tools, and other in-game items can be processed at a time. It's different for consoles, as you can't upgrade them. On PC, slots are primarily handled via RAM. The amount of items a PC can handle, is individual - but technically there is no limit if your PC is strong enough. Why just consoles, you ask? Well, as you know, every PC is different. The limit of slots is defined by the console. A LOT more.Įvery vehicle or tool, for example, uses a set amount of so-called slots. That means, you can have even more vehicles, tools and other items on your farm. Whether you play on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5, Xbox One or Xbox Series S/X: We increased the number of available slots. I recently got a new Thrustmaster T-GT wheel which does have two mini-analogue sticks on the wheel so I'm hoping this will solve that problem and maybe I'll be able to play more with a wheel going forward and certainly in FS22 hopefully.Good news for everyone playing on consoles. The only thing that really stopped me playing the game with wheel was a lack control for moving the character on foot or controlling the camera in a vehicle due to lack of analogue sticks or controls on the wheel. I have dabbled with using my steering wheel as well to control the game, the great thing about Farming Simulator is you don't need to go into any menus or change options when wanting to use a different control device, the game will switch on the fly between whatever you are interacting with be it a controller, keyboard, mouse or a wheel. For things like GPS (Guidance Steering) and Follow Me I have keybinds set for their main functions on the controller so can definitely interact with those mods without the need for a keyboard. About the only time I use the mouse is if I'm interacting with something like the Courseplay UI. So I've never really needed to use the mouse and keyboard to play. The good thing on PC is you have access to key binding, which means you can pretty much program any functions you need (ones not already mapped) to the controller. I've used a Generic PC Compact Controller (It's actually a Nacon PS4 Controller) to play FS19 and have done pretty much exclusively since it released.
